What actually happens when we clean your rug

Step one is dry soil removal. We flip the rug and dust the back first. Dry abrasive grit falls out before any water touches wool. That grit is what cuts fibers and creates gray-out paths in traffic lanes. Next we test dyes on the fringe and a hidden edge. Then wash, rinse, groom the pile, and dry with airmovers. Rugs over tile, engineered wood, and LVP hide a second problem. The floor under them. Pet urine soaks through the rug, through the pad, and pools at the pad-slab interface. Surface cleaning does nothing there. We pull the rug, treat the slab, and extract from below the pile.

Sisal and wool behave differently. Sisal browns with too much water. Wool holds red-brown hillside clay and decomposed granite deep in the yarn twist. Foxtails and grass seed have to be picked out by hand.
